About half an hour before reaching the Stana din Valea Rea I had the only
encounter with a snake in Romanian Carpathians. After initially getting scared
by something moving in the trail I understood it's a snake so I took a
picture of it; I was about a meter long and was not thick. It is in the
center of the picture, just above the two rocks.
