In the same night we went on the mountain (without encountering absolutely
no problem up in the main ridge - only a bit of fog, no rain at all) there was
a big storm; from the Fagaras rifge we've seen a perfectly clear sky towards
the north but we saw and listened to strong thunders away to the south. In the
same weekend 4 people died, two being struck by a thunder on the eastern ridge
of Fagaras one night before (around 16mi from where we were) and two more
drowned at Malaiesti. On the road back home the damage caused by the storm
was obvious; this part of the road, between Vidraru Dam and Plant, a wall
of stone collapsed filling the road with boulders. Bogdan is pointing at the
