The descent from Forte Giaura to Limonetto was by another train than the
one used for going up. I walked along the French-Italian border (which also
is the watershed), thru Forte Pernante to Colle di Tenda then I descended
to Limonetto. Here I am a bit lower than Pernante and the landscape is
quite rich. The closest is Limonetto village, which belongs to the city
of Limone (also visible 300m further down). After Limone another massif
is visible which peaks at Bric Costa Rossa (2422m); that summit was my first
mountain trip outside Romania, somewhere in 1994 or 1995.
